Write Your Story

Last weekend I had the privilege of spending time at Trinity with some of my favorite ladies. It had been too long since I had seen some of them especially my roomie Sarah! I am so glad it worked out to catch up with so many people in the short amount of time I was there. It always feels like home to head back into Tibstra complete with welcome from Mama Kara and Chase. I couldn't have asked for better food, people, or conversations. Unfortunately there were no pictures to document my time there.

While I was there many people asked me "How is your job?" "How is life after graduation?" "What are your plans for next year?" I guess I don't know exactly how to answer these questions. While I really like my job and getting to spend time with my family again, I am realizing how strange this transition period of my life is. While I have graduated, I do not yet have a teaching job. This means that I am not financially able to live on my own. And while I've applied to more than 20 schools I have nothing lined up for next fall. A few months ago this would have gave me a lot to be worried about. Although lately God has really been working on me in this area.

Literally the possibilities for my future are endless. There is nothing holding me to any particular area. I know that God has something huge planned for me and I cannot wait to see what it was. The other day I was getting very discouraged that I haven't had any interviews yet and God gave me a real peace that is hard for me to even describe. My church is currently having members give a short testimony each week. This week something that really stuck with me was what Karen said. It all comes down to trusting God regardless if you see the next step or not. I needed the reminder that no matter what I can trust God completely with my future including His timing with my job. He has really been working on my trust and I am learning to live in expectation of his supernatural power.
