Spring Fever

The weather has been unusually warm for this time of year and I have been taking advantage of it greatly. I have went on quite a few walks and simply enjoyed walking to class without having to bundle up in 12 layers. This weekend I got to see all my family! My brother had a game at Chicago Christian. This day the weather was not the greatest but to all our excitement the game did not get cancelled. Megan & Sarah both joined me for the game as well. They ended up losing both games, but Trenton still did pretty well. While my parents were here they took me to Target to get some supplies, and out to supper at our favorite Italian place around here! It was so nice to see them and have them at Trin again. After that Sara, Kara, Megan, and I spent the night shopping for formal dresses. We all managed to get dressed so it was a very successful trip! Formal is this weekend already crazy! (Yes Mom I will take a lot of pictures)

This week has been kind of slow for me as most of my projects are due when we get back from Easter Break. I will definitely be starting on those soon. Speaking of Easter Break I can't believe it's basically a week away! This semester has gone soooo fast. Its hard to believe that I registered for my summer class today and have my job lined up. I am looking forward to both things as of now. This will probably change when it gets to summer and I wishing that I could be laying next to the pool instead. Oh well I'll have the rest of my life to do that. Being a teacher has its perks forsure :) My observing has been going well and I have been able to get in quite a few hours over the past week. My teacher is a blessing to me and really takes the time to let me ask questions and share with me information that I would have never thought to ask about.

I am looking forward to this weekend. There is so many fun activities going on! I will make sure to keep you posted :)

Spring Break!

Clearly I have been slacking on blogging lately. It has been a busy two weeks to say the least. The week before spring break was intense to say the least. There was a lot of homework to do and meetings to attend. I had a large to do list and luckily everything got crossed off! Megan & I spent half our break in Arizona at her grandparents house which was fantastic! We laid by by the pool everyday, had some great meals, and even got a plane ride from her grandpa! We both got a tad burnt on the last day but are sporting great tans now (see pictures above) :) For the rest of spring I got to be home which was fantastic as well! Megan and I got to bake and spend some time with my family on Tuesday night. Wednesday we went to the Zoo. I could not believe how nice the weather is here! I also got to hang out with my friend Theresa and her parents treated us to lunch at Aurelio's. Double yum! I also got to watch my brother play some baseball games and hang out with my dad this past weekend. I also got to walk with Kristen everyday! It was seriously awesome. We have the best talks I tell ya. I got to eat lunch with my Mom on Friday which was great as usually. Today was definitely hard getting back in the swing of things. My geography teacher informed me that we only have 19 classes left. Woot Woot! Less than two months and summer will be here! I hope it stays as nice as this til then. haha. My dad told me it could snow again. Gotta love Illinois weather. Anyways off to night class in a bit. 

Real girls eat meat

This weekend has been wonderful to say the least. I feel like I only have time to post on the weekends, but that's mostly because my life has been super busy lately. Between class, homework, observing, work, and meetings I have little time during the weekdays to spend on me. This week was filled with less homework and presentations then last, but it was still busy as I did start observing Wednesday. I really like my class and was bummed when my teacher told me I did not have to come Friday because she would not be there. Although I am trying to find positives in all situation these days so here are some blessings that happened Friday:

1. Got to attend breakfast with the usual girls-shoot out to Lette, Abby, Lisa, Megan, & Andrea
2. I was able to study more for my geography class which in turn didn't help out at all
3. I got to sleep in  more than normal
4. We got to go to Longhorn Steakhouse which I would highly recommend! We had a free appetizer coupon, there was steaks for 11.99 with a side and salad, we had a fantastic waitress, and Sarah's birthday she got a ice cream Sunday! I forgot to mention also that we had gift cards so it was basically free! The food was so good and we took a picture of us all eating our steak. Sarah decided real girls eat meat!
5. Even though we did not end up going downtown for the musical adventure, we got to go Southies tavern which was hilarious and provided for great music. Thank you Fitter, Zack, and Chris Bohle.
6. Finally learned out to play Five Crowns- winning!
Overall it turned out to be a wonderful day! :)

Today I got to go serve with my geography class at the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository. We packed 5,300 pounds of pasta. It was great! I wasn't too excited about getting up before 8am on a Saturday, but it was well worth it. I am currently at the BBC with Sarah and Danielle (Megan went to take a nap). This has become our tradition for Saturday afternoons. I edited all my papers that are due next week. Woot Woot! Not sure of our plans for tonight- who knows what will happen. Hotmess11!
