Adjustments

This week many unexpected adjustments have needed to be made. I am not the best when it comes to change, but I am learning that it easier to get through with prayer and great friends. Sometimes things don't turn out at all what you think they will be like, but God has a plan in all of it. My friends have helped me to get through things a lot this week and in that respect I am truly blessed.

This idea went along well with what the Pastor preached about at church today. My notes on the sermon looked like this:
1. If we all know that Christ is risen and strive to serve him we can all come together as one. We can look past all the differences that are between us and be one in Christ.
2. We are called to live in unity. This means: dying to ourselves, making it a priority, and striving for consensus not concession.
3. We (I) need to put others before ourselves.
Overall we need to look like a community in unison for Christ rather than one divided by all our differences.

This was definitely something I needed to hear and will try to put it into practice as much as possible.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Easter!

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!

This song sums up perfectly what Easter is all about!

Along with celebration our Savior's death and resurrection I got to spend time with my family and friends at home :) I got home Thursday and went to my brother's game which they won! (sorry I can't remember the score) TK had a solid game with two bunts. Friday I hung out with Kristen and then went out to eat and shopping with the WHOLE family. That doesn't happen to often and it was great to be together again! Saturday was a very productive and busy day. My dad and I washed our cars, I helped my mom prepare for Easter dinner, colored eggs, went and saw Mirror Mirror (I'd give it a 7 out of 10), then had to do a few errands with my mom. Sunday- the BIG day! haha. We had a nice church service and a great meal with my grandparents! After that we got together with my cousins for intense games of mush-ball and kickball. It was hilarious and so much fun! Just saying my team won both times :) I'm a little sore today, guess that just means we have to play more often. Overall it was a solid weekend. Now I have to go back for night class yuck. One bright side only one month of school til I'm done!
